This pivotal role will provide leadership, guidance, and oversight of RCU’s community and social impact programs, including the RCU Community Fund (RCUCF). The VP will play a crucial role in strategic planning and execution, budgeting, team management, and the creation and expansion of impactful community programs. This position is key to enhancing RCU’s reputation and brand, increasing our social impact, and fulfilling our mission to promote financial well-being and community wellness.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership: Lead the measurement, reporting, and analysis of RCU’s social impact performance, ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategic goals and focus areas.Framework Development: Drive the implementation and evolution of RCU’s social impact framework, ensuring its alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate social impact findings to internal and external stakeholders.Collaboration: Work with various strategies and lines of business to use social impact data for product innovation, service development, and resource allocation.Program Oversight: Provide strategic oversight and support for RCU’s community programs, ensuring alignment with the social impact framework and strategic goals.Budget Management: Develop and implement annual budgets and plans for all RCU community programs, optimizing resource allocation to maximize social impact.Team Leadership: Hire, develop, and manage a high-performing team of community program staff, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.Partnership Building: Build and maintain strong partnerships with community organizations and stakeholders to leverage resources and amplify RCU’s social impact.Community Representation: Represent RCU in the community, serving on relevant boards and committees and fostering positive relationships with key stakeholders.Company and Department SupportDirect efforts and events and ensure the proper planning and execution of community events, which may include Human Race, Employee Giving, Shred-A-Thons and all other community events.Provide support/expertise to individuals, groups, and committees to complete initiatives, long and short-term projects, etc.Minimum Qualification: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to create strategic plans and direction.Strong project management and organizational skills.Exceptional communication skills, including written, oral, and presentation abilities.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.Strong collaboration and motivational skills.Proficiency with computers, software, and technology relevant to the role.Physical Requirements
Ability to use a computer, computer software, keyboard, databases, and calculator.Ability to stand and lift up to 15 pounds.Ability to perform event set up such as moving chairs and tables, organizing giveaways, supporting booth set ups, arranging event plans, etc.Work environment is both indoors at a desk and at times at event locations.Education and Experience
Educational Background - A combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in business management, public administration, or a related field.Professional Experience - A minimum of twelve years of specific job-related experience, including nonprofit or community programs management, event and project management, and strategic relationship building. Base starting range: $156,707 to $206,488 annually commensurate with experience.Our base salary starting range is based on scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, and internal peer equity.
