How will you make an impact:
Join Thermo Fisher Scientific as the Site HR Director and contribute significantly to the translation of business and site strategy into HR strategy, plans, and solutions. Through close partnership with the site, you will be instrumental in attracting, developing, and engaging top talent, ensuring the organization's readiness for both immediate and future success. This position offers a chance to lead an HR team and drive operational excellence within a dynamic and regulated business setting.
What will you do:
Develop HR strategy, solutions, and strategic workforce plans that align with the business
Implement HR processes such as talent reviews and performance management within a matrix organization.
Drive robust talent management plans, partnering with site managers to attract, retain, develop, and engage talent in critical roles
Lead, develop, and mentor a team of HR professionals, ensuring they deliver exceptional HR services
Build and drive a culture of employee engagement to improve business performance and efficiency
Successfully deploy new HR services and processes through effective communication, training, and change management programs
Provide guidance and coaching to employees and managers on employee relations issues, performance management, and disciplinary actions
Collaborate with cross-functional partners to continuously improve the colleague experience and enhance the employee value proposition
How will you get here:
Education
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field required or (equivalent experience considered; Master's degree preferred)
Experience
At least 10+ years of HR-related experience, with a focus on increasing scope (2+ years' experience leading an HR team preferred)
Proficient in collaborating effectively and utilizing networks
High degree of autonomy and strong decision-making skills
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Ability to analyze and interpret relevant data to inform business decisions
Expert knowledge of HR structure and COE's
Demonstrated experience in HR strategy development and fostering continuous improvement
Experience influencing and aligning business decisions with senior leaders
This position may require some travel to other Thermo Fisher Scientific sites or regions.
Compensation and BenefitsThe salary range estimated for this position based in Maryland is $160,000.00–$240,125.00.
This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
