THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for an experienced Associate Counsel to join our growing US legal team!

YOUR IMPACT

Draft and negotiate a variety of coverage area-specific commercial agreements, including license, vendor, technology, master services, confidentiality and other agreements, and support the business teams’ negotiation of applicable privacy, data security and IP provisions.

Provide responsive and pragmatic legal advice to carry out the company's business and protect the company's interests and rights.

Identify risks and causes of main legal contingencies or exposures and propose improvements.

Inform local and regional internal clients of eventual changes in legislation and jurisprudence that might impact business.

Assist with the administration of contract management, organization and documentation.

Assist with the drafting terms of use, privacy policies, disclosures, disclaimers, FAQs and related communications, and implement appropriate processes applicable to the foregoing.

Adopt preventive measures to avoid legal contingencies and disputes in all areas of law.

Assist with legal support on compliance issues, training and investigations.

WHO YOU ARE

3+ years of relevant experience (preference for at least 1 year at a leading law firm or in-house at a technology or Internet company).

Law degree from an accredited university.

Must be admitted, active and in good standing with the state bar of the jurisdiction you reside in.

Strong general commercial contract skills and experience.

Flexibility/adaptability and a willingness to work on a broad range of matters and take on projects outside of core areas.

Ability to effectively multitask, re-prioritize, and work independently to meet deadlines and drive agreements to a conclusion, while remaining calm under pressure.

Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills and the ability to perform in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

A high degree of integrity and the ability to maintain the strictest level of confidentiality.

Excellent written, oral and negotiation communication skills and superb judgment.

Responsive and service-oriented attitude.

In New York, California, Colorado, Massachusetts, and Washington, the annual base salary range for this role is $102,786 - 137,048. The base salary range for other locations may vary. Actual base salary will be dependent on geographic location, relevant experience, skills, qualifications and/or other job-related factors. In addition to base salary, this role may also be eligible to participate in either our annual bonus plan or a sales incentive plan, and our performance-based stock option program.

PAID TIME OFF:

It’s important to take time away from work to recharge. Employees receive a minimum of 25 days PTO per year with an additional day for each year of tenure (up to 5) in addition to annual holidays (including an extra holiday on your birthday!).
