Job Summary
Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management, the Director of Admissions Recruitment leads a diverse team of professionals, including Associate Directors, Assistant Directors, Coordinators, and counselors responsible for recruiting a wide array of student populations, such as first-time freshmen, transfer, adult learners, military-affiliated, online, and more. This role involves the development and execution of creative recruitment strategies that align with university goals, ensuring sustained student enrollment growth. The Director collaborates with various university stakeholders, monitors recruitment data and metrics, assists with the planning and executing on-campus and off-campus events, and manages recruitment budgets. As part of the admissions leadership team, the incumbent will assist in the development and execution of annual recruitment plans and consistently exhibit service, collaboration, and excellence as championed by the Division of Enrollment, Marketing and Student Success.
ResponsibilitiesDirectly supervise Associate Directors, Assistant Directors and Coordinators, providing leadership to a team of professional recruitment staff who serve all student populations to include first-time freshman, dual enrollment, transfer, readmit, adult and nontraditional, fully online, military-affiliated, transient, and post-baccalaureateProvide effective budget management for recruitment expensesDevelop and maintain a culture of student-first service excellence and model a high level of integrity and service for all members of the team at all timesServe as a key member of the leadership team for the Office of AdmissionsEngage and recruit prospective students, their families, supporters, community partners, and other stakeholders, fostering connections that ultimately contribute to the growth of new undergraduate enrollments at Georgia Southern UniversityCollaborate with Events & Visitation team to plan and implement on and off-campus recruitment eventsPerform data analysis, carefully monitoring admission funnel metrics to assess recruitment success and make adjustments as necessaryWork effectively with a wide range of diverse constituencies, including faculty, deans and senior staff, admission office colleagues, students, parents, school counselors and alumniDevelop and execute a creative and innovative approach to student recruitment that supports strategic recruitment goals and plans for sustained new student enrollment to meet university goals and assist in the creation and execution of yearly recruitment planProvide general support, as needed, for special projects in fulfillment of departmental objectivesExpected to attend all major admissions events on campus and off campusRequired Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's DegreeOther Required Qualifications
An appreciation for the cyclical nature of admission work and the flexibility to handle a variety of duties and projects throughout the day as well as throughout the year including weekend workRequired Experience
Five (5) or more years of admissions experience with at least two (2) years of supervisory experienceExperience working in a fast-paced environment and the ability to respond to high-pressure situationsExperience with CRM systemsPreferred Qualifications
Preferred Educational Qualifications
Masters degree in higher education or a related fieldPreferred Experience
Seven (7) or more years of admissions recruitment experienceExperience in a college admissions or enrollment officeExperience with Banner SIS Experience with Technolutions Slate CRMProposed Salary
$78,706 - $82,000
This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.
