Technical Program Manager (SME)
in El Segundo, CA, you will work in a highly empowered team where every team member is directly responsible for the success of their customer programs. You will support the Space RCO transfer of programs to space systems center (SSC) and the acquisition process to achieve successful transfer and transition. You must have experience working in highly classified environments in a SAPF or SCIF facility with multiple compute networks with frequent on-premises customer engagement.Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:Participate in military, government, and FFRDC meetings.Develop product Transfer Plans to coordinate programs moving from one acquisition authority to another.Negotiate technical challenges, schedules, and costs that may impact the transfer of a program.Support Senior Leadership meetings and prepare briefings on the status of the program.Communicate clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy using MS Office tools — both oral and written.Qualifications:Required Qualifications:Minimum six (6) years DoD/IC, or relevant industry work experience working in SAPF or SCIF facilities.Experience using DoD or IC computer systems and portion marking and security requirements.Understanding of industry practices for the acquisition of space-based or ground system hardware.Knowledge of space mission engineering, development, or manufacturing.Experience with Integrated Master Schedules and risk management.Desired Requirements:Experience with integrated air, space, and cyberspace capabilities.Experience in DoD program management including program development and transition.Experience with Statements of Work (SOW) and Performance Work Statements (PWS).Experience with ACAT I/II level acquisition programs.Fluency with IC and/or DoD organizational cultures.Education Requirements:An applicable bachelor’s degree in a technical field. See desired below.Desired Education:Relevant MA/MS degree or MBA (desired).Certifications such as PMP, SPRDE, DAIWA, or DAU related to program acquisitions.Clearance Requirements:Active TOP SECRET clearance with Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (SCI), and Special Access Program (SAP) eligibility. Must be willing to work in a SAP environment.No less than two (2) years total SAP and/or SCI environment experience and 1-year total within last 5 years.Candidate must maintain a TS/SCI clearance as a condition of employment and willingness to submit to a Counter-Intelligence polygraph.U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.Location/Travel Requirements:75% time on site in El Segundo, CA, and may require travel approximately 10% of time within the continental United States.Potential for overseas travel as capable.For additional company information, please visit: www.mtsi-va.comThe pay range for this position in California is $170,000/year to $200,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract wages, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors.
