MS SHIPS Community College Program Manager
MS SHIPS Community College Program Manager’s role is responsible for recruitment and placement activities in workforce development associated with the grant. The role will lead outreach and engagement activities with critical workforce stakeholders including K-12, industry, and aligned nonprofits as well as internal college partners. This is a federally funded grant project.Job Duties
Coordinate and deliver the FlexFactor program for K-12 students, including scheduling of Industry and College tours.Work closely with college partners and external stakeholders to coordinate and host Employer Networking Events and Job Fairs with local companies and students to ensure a smooth transition from education pathway to employment.Coordinate and host other workforce related events including the Pitch competitions, Manufacturing Day, and other activities as needed.Create as needed and continuously improve the workflows, tools, and documents that enable smooth program delivery and team function.Maintain local relationships with key partners and funders to ensure they remain engaged and satisfied with performance.Track and report on grant metrics at both defined intervals and when requested.Solve problems as they arise for our partners and ensure they are motivated to continue running NextFlex programming and participate in our Learning Community.Attend and participate in Community Campus and MGCCC workshops, training, meetings, and events as required.Promote Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and Workforce Programs.Attend local business & industry networking events.Serve as grant coordinator and oversee the MS-SHIPS grant program at MGCCC.Ensure active grant guidelines are followed throughout the life of the grant.Monitor and proof grant data reports prior to submission to grant provider.Maintain grant files including reimbursement copies, contracts, reports, student files, etc.Support the College mission implicitly and explicitly in the daily execution of all duties and responsibilities; adhere to College policies and procedures.Perform other duties as requested by administration and/or Vice President.Mandatory Qualifications
Minimum of AA Degree.3+ years’ experience in program management or similar experience.Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.Desirable Qualifications
Bachelor degree.Specialized instructional software experience.Banner experience.Experience in customer service.EEO Statement
