link/button.Incumbent has the responsibility for all project leadership and management related to community education programs as well as business and industry training projects, especially Workforce, Apprenticeship, and Continuing Education. The incumbent reports to the Associate Vice President of Workforce Solutions.Job Duties
Nurture and maintain relationships with business/industry and economic development organizations in the MGCCC district to determine workforce and training needs while informing employers of MGCCC programs and services.Create/Update MOU’s related to Workforce, Apprenticeship, Continuing Education, or special projects.Establish, plan, execute, oversee, and close projects effectively.Facilitate the delivery of Workforce, Apprenticeship, and Continuing Education services to clients with the intent of improving productivity and competitiveness.Build and maintain an atmosphere of teamwork among staff members.Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.Model and train all team members on proper organization and office procedures.Maintain all records and files related to project management in an organized manner in adherence with College policies, procedures, and protocols.Responsible for files, records, and data input for all Workforce, Apprenticeship, and Continuing Education projects to ensure compliance with accountability system, including internal and external audits.Produce reports as needed for program stakeholders.Anticipate and adapt to the evolving needs of business/industry while working as an integral part of Teaching & Learning, Adult Education, Institutional Research, and other facets of Community Campus.Develop and implement creative problem solving skills, as needed to stay relevant and meet business/industry needs.Work closely with the WIN Center, or other agencies, to provide information and documentation as necessary.Provide support and assistance in the acquisition and implementation of external grant programs and other special projects.Serve on college committees and councils as assigned.Represent the College Workforce division at conferences, seminars, and state Workforce meetings, as appropriate.Adhere to all MGCCC policies and procedures and participate in College activities.Be willing to work flexible hours as needed.Complete all project management tasks and special projects in an accurate and timely manner.Perform all other duties as assigned.Mandatory Qualifications
(M1)
Master’s Degree or current active progress towards completion of a Master’s Degree in Workforce Development, or a closely related field, from a regionally accredited institution of higher education.(M2)
Demonstrated experience with Project Management.(M3)
Proficient computing skills in a networked environment, familiarity with basic Internet and e-mail, including Microsoft Office Applications.(M4)
Superior written and interpersonal communication skills.(M5)
Demonstrated Record Keeping Skills.(M6)
Experience with managing budgets.(M7)
Demonstrated problem solving skills.Desirable Qualifications
(D1)
Experience with state training budgets.(D2)
Experience with human resources management.(D3)
Experience with Banner software.(D4)
Experience with Customer Relationship Management software.(D5)
