We are looking for a

Business Development Manager – Additive (AM) . In this role you will focus on growing sales of metallic additive materials in the expanding North American market. The Business Development Manager - AM will work in our fast-paced, expanding sales team to drive proactive value creation and revenue generation for our metallic AM material portfolio. In this consultative-based selling role, the successful candidate will draw on their proven AM sales experience to first develop then implement/lead a comprehensive strategy that achieves/exceeds aggressive revenue targets. This position requires an individual with extensive knowledge and experience of the AM market, who can leverage their strategic and technical selling skills to engage and influence customer stakeholders from the shop floor to the C-Suite. Our ideal candidate has the ability to create and close profitable deals where the technical benefits are captured in the sale price. In addition, the candidate will be able to identify our clients’ key initiatives and develop sales strategies to deliver long-term value to the client and Oerlikon Metco. The candidate must exhibit a strong customer satisfaction mentality, work ethic, and drive to succeed. This technical sales professional must have an energetic, enthusiastic outlook, and enjoy learning and problem-solving as part of a growing team.Your Responsibilities:Conduct analyses using experience and available information sources to develop and implement a comprehensive market strategy identifying markets, applications, and customers.Perform B2B sales activities from lead generation through opportunity closure.Promote and sell Oerlikon Metco AM materials to printer OEMs, material end-users, and identified distribution channels.Develop & maintain strong customer relationships with decision makers at key accounts.Create and maintain account plans for existing customers; highlighting profile, market share, competition, and value opportunities.Formulate strategies for building and growing the accounts and maximizing their potential value.Research, gather, analyze, maintain and disseminate information about assigned accounts; develop exceptional knowledge of the customer and competitors and be well versed in the customer’s problems, initiatives, goals, needs, and issues.Coordinate sales efforts with sales management, accounting, and technical services groups.Provide regular sales forecasts and appropriate feedback from the field utilizing MS CRM.Your Profile:Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical discipline, or equivalent experience.Eight + years of technical sales and key account management with particular focus on the sale of metallic additive materials.Excellent communication skills, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a team-oriented organization.Network of operational, technical and business management key decision makers and supply chain in metallic additive manufacturing.Thermal Spray Coatings, Laser Clad, Welding, and Thin Film technologies.We offer:Aside from a dynamic global culture and leading market position, we are proud to offer our employees development opportunities, competitive salary and

Our commitment is your success!Oerlikon is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position, which is $98,400 - $123,000 per year. Some positions within Oerlikon may also offer eligibility to participate in a discretionary incentive program. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for the role will be based on a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, internal equity, job location, work experience, education, training, certifications, licenses, etc. Therefore, as compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each individual, it is likely that not all applicants will be hired at the highest end of the listed compensation range.
