Position Summary

The Department of Marketing and Communications is looking for a dynamic Art Director to join their team. Under the general direction of the Chief Marketing Officer, the Art Director will provide overall artistic concept development and direction, and creative support for all Marketing and Communication efforts. The candidate must be able to design for all publishing, advertising, and video media as warranted.

The position is responsible for project management, creative production, coordination and execution of marketing materials across all channels. This includes printed materials and publications, internal communications, event support, digital media and marketing, and content generation. The position will also work closely with the Digital Communications Specialist to ensure consistent branding and effectiveness across all digital and online media.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Creativity — ability to come up with interesting & innovative ideas.

Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Creative Cloud) is not required, but preferred Proficiency with lnDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat required.

Experienced in setting up files for commercial print (for process and spot color jobs).

Knowledgeable in setting up files for online use (web graphic / HTML emails).

Ability to manage time and meet deadlines while flexible to respond to changing project requirements Extremely organized and detailed oriented.

Exceptional communication skills with the ability to clearly and concisely share ideas and respond to feedback (oral and written).

Mature and able to respond well to critique and feedback on artwork.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors degree in art, fine arts, or design required. Degree(s) must be from a regionally accredited college/university.

A minimum of 3-5 years of experience.

Excellent Web Design and Development skills required.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous media experience desired.

It is MSM’s Immunization policy that all Prospective Employees are required to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID -19 prior to commencement of employment.
