OVERVIEW/BASIC FUNCTION:Supports the Director and Assistant Director of Talent & Culture. Assists in a managerial capacity all functions of the Talent & Culture department with various general tasks including but not limited to Recruitment, Training, Engagement, and Employee Relations. Manages the responsibilities of the department in accordance with Rosewood Hotels & Resorts standards and maintains a service and management philosophy which serves as a guide to respective staff.RESPONSIBILITIES:Involved in property’s overall compensation and wage strategy, completing wage surveys, audits, and proposing adjustments to Director of Talent & Culture where needed.Coordinates recruiting efforts for property by building awareness of the talent within the community and university, posting positions, and screening applicants for brand and position fit.Processes applications, hires, and pre-employment screening in HRIS and ATS systems.Facilitates new hire orientation, onboarding, and training programs.Maintains basic employment information in HR information system, including scanning of employment documents into electronic personnel files within the HRIS.Oversees and improves people-related processes, operations, and solutions including but not limited to performance management, benefit administration, leave administration, employee satisfaction/relations, learning and development, compensation, compliance, and offboarding for the state of Hawaii and US.Coordinates all benefit and/or leave administration paired with communication between vendors, doctors, employees, and the hotel.Follows and implements all Company and brand established onboarding procedures which ensure new colleagues feel welcome and all team members are prepared for the new colleagues’ arrival.Processes bills accurately and timely to all vendors.Supports leaders in navigating employee relations and corrective action situations.Communicates delicate human resources concerns and incidents involving leadership to Director of Talent & Culture.Serves as a policy expert to assist Operations management in adherence to company policies, processes, and practices.Is in the know of culture concerns and brings them to the attention of the appropriate party and/or regional people and culture leadership.Assists with internal communications within the company to deliver important people-centric information.Coordinates recognition programs including reminders, award ordering, and celebratory announcements.Administers company recognition and engagement programs to include Extraordinary Awards, Referral Program, Quarterly Service Awards Program, and/or any other company implemented programming.Assists with ensuring compliance posters are in employee areas, and breakroom/employee areas reflect Rosewood Hotels & Resorts brand standard and culture.Assists and is the liaison to company benefit and perk programs.Assists and supports associates in navigating and locating appropriate employment resource and/or contact.Provides assistance to all Talent & Culture projects as needed by Director of Talent & Culture, Talent & Development Manager, and Managing Director.Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:Experience:
2 years of Human Resources experience preferably at a manager level in a hotel environment.Education:
Degree in hospitality, hotel management, human resources or a relevant field of work, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.General Skills:
Expert organizational, task-management, leadership, creativity, verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Naturally outgoing and friendly attitude with personal commitment and passion for service excellence to consistently deliver and demonstrate Rosewood Hotel & Resorts service standards to our internal customers. Ability to handle confidential information discreetly and protect employee privacy. Managerial courage and proven ability to partner and support leadership. Multicultural awareness and able to work with people from diverse backgrounds. Flexible, able to embrace and respond to change effectively. Ability to work independently and has good initiative. Self-motivated, energetic, and participative.Technical Skills:
High proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Comprehensive knowledge of all applicable federal, state, and city employment and labor laws. Excellent presentation and training/facilitation skills.Licenses & Certifications:
Certification in Human Resources a plus.Values:

75,000-85,000 annually
