MEDICAL DEVICE ASSEMBLER- $22-24/hr
Job Description
This position is responsible for the production of high-quality medical devices, primarily in a cleanroom environment.
The role includes the formulation of polymers and spray coating formulations, production of medical devices using microscopes, and the operation of various equipment and machinery.
The candidate must be proficient in English (medium level), experienced with microscope inspection, willing to work overtime, and comfortable working with chemicals.
Additional Information:
1st Shift: 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday
*Start times may be adjusted depending on the specific operations assigned. We do ask teammates to work overtime on weekdays and weekends (Saturday and Sunday) if needed.
Responsibilities
Operate machinery to produce medical devices that meet specifications.
Follow manufacturing instructions and accurately update relevant job documentation for traceability.
Prepare products for packing and sterilization.
Inspect products using a microscope.
Ensure activities comply with GMPs.
Set up coating machines, coat, inspect, and fold balloon catheters.
Prepare excipient and spray coating formulations.
Test formulations and package sterile and non-sterile finished or semi-finished goods.
Identify supplies that need replenishment.
Build components needed for top-level Work Orders.
Complete cleaning activities as required.
Essential Skills
High school diploma or equivalent education.
2 to 3 years of experience in the medical device industry.
Proficiency in English.
Experience with microscope inspection.
Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written procedures.
Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions.
Familiarity with cleanroom/gowning and de-gowning processes.
Good hand/eye dexterity and detail-oriented.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Pharmaceutical/coating experience for coating positions.
Ability to utilize Microsoft Excel and other computer software packages.
Ability to communicate ideas, problems, and solutions to manufacturing supervisors and management.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Willingness to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
