Southwire Job Description
As a member of the SAP team, this person will work closely with the team, business liaisons, business analysts, and other IT staff (internal and external) as needed for requirements gathering, understanding business priorities, and configuring the SAP ECC Materials Management module. The candidate should be able to work well with others, have a team-first attitude, and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines. A good understanding of the Materials Management process, general business theory, and concepts. This person will provide end-user support, perform system configuration, coordinate testing activities, and follow the established change management process. A successful candidate must be able to analyze and document a business process flow from beginning to end.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide day-to-day support and troubleshooting to the business community for the SAP Materials Management processes and applications.
· Ensure all project, change, and issue management processes are followed.
· Assist with SAP training as new Materials Management functionality is implemented, or new locations are brought live.
· Document and maintain Materials Management business processes using SAP best practices.
· Coordinate and participate in system integration, performance, and acceptance testing.
· Create and maintain functional specification documents.
· Analyze business processes and then manage the development, documentation, and maintenance of those processes in SAP following best practices to meet business needs.
· Facilitate the move of approved application changes through the system landscape.
· Responsible for configuration of Materials Management functionality.
· Assist with the development and management of projects of varying size and scope as required, within the designated timeline.
· Support SAP Functional Manager and other teams on various projects
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science preferred
• 5+ years of SAP Materials Management experience
• 1+ year SAP full lifecycle implementation required.
