Assist the Claims and Litigation Supervisors, Senior Claims and Litigation Supervisors and AVP, Claims by processing claims documents and maintaining claim files, processing correspondence, preparing reinsurance reports, processing legal invoices, assisting in ascertaining and documenting relevant facts relating to professional and general liability claims.Outline of ResponsibilitiesSummarize and file correspondence and legal documents in claim database and claim fileSet up new claims in Claim database, EPCS, and report to excess and reinsurance carriers as appropriateProcess claims related documents for clients and insuredsAssist in preparing reports for Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation and the National Practitioner Data BankPerform Claims History searches for practitionersAssist in ascertaining relevant facts relating to professional and general liability claims, which may include document and record review, requesting medical records, preparing medical chronologiesMaintenance of bordereau file for deposition assistsProcess legal expense invoicesOther duties and projects as definedQualifications
Associate's degree or a minimum of 2 years experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and good interpersonal and oral/written communication skills.
