NoPosition Summary:The Sport Management Program at North Central College invites applications to teach courses as a faculty associate during the 2024-2025 academic year. The successful candidate will teach one or two undergraduate (Sport Management, B.A.) or graduate (Sport Leadership, M.A.) courses per semester. Delivery of undergraduate courses may be in-person, or online (both synchronous and asynchronous). Applicants should identify if they are local (with the ability to teach in-person or online) or non-local (only available for online courses). The role requires someone who can deliver course content, contribute to the creation of assignments and other assessments, evaluate and grade student work, and hold office hours to assist students.These appointments are on a course-by-course basis. This posting is continuous to develop a qualified pool of interested candidates. If your academic area of interest/expertise meets our programmatic needs at any time, you may be contacted to discuss teaching opportunities. These needs change from semester to semester.Required Qualifications:Master’s degree in the teaching discipline or a concentration in the discipline (with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in teaching discipline) at the time of appointment. All degrees must be from an accredited institution. A terminal degree is preferred.Desired Qualifications:Prior higher education teaching experience preferredExperience facilitating student-led classroom discussionsEvidence of working with a diverse student populationEvidence of effective collaboration skillsExperience with technology/course management systems (e.g. Canvas)Excellent written and verbal English communication skillsThe review of applications will occur as the School has needs for a particular course. Applications will continue to be accepted and reviewed on an ongoing basis. This pool recruitment will be live throughout the academic year, and the School may or may not hire from it, depending on course needs.
