Our commitment to excellence has earned us an industry-wide reputation for being one of the top residential construction remodeling companies in California.Benefits for Full-Time Employees Include:Medical, Dental, Vision, Voluntary Life & AD&D Insurance, H.S.A., and Employee Assistance ProgramPotential Bonus Opportunities and Career Path Opportunities for Top Performers!Paid Sick and Vacation Time401kPosition Summary:The Permit Runner is responsible for timely document drafting and submission to ensure projects are initiated within acceptable service levels, obtaining permits from the local government or relevant authorities for construction projects.A Permit Runner is required to perform job duties inclusive of but not limited to the following:Prepare and compile permit packages accurately and effectively.Submitting permit applications to the appropriate and relevant government agencies (City and/or County office).Communicating with government officials, contractors, and clients to ensure compliance with regulations and government.Follow up with all permit applications to check for finalization.Collect completed permits after they have been confirmed.Notify customers of project status.Maintain accurate records of permit applications, approvals, and denials.Print, scan, and copy documents.Record and code accounting details for all credit card charges and checks related to permits.File approved documents.Identifying and addressing any issues or concerns related to permit applications and approvals.Performs other duties as assigned.Supervisory Responsibilities:This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a subject matter expert for other positions in the organization.Required Skills / Abilities:Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.Ability to navigate complex regulations and requirements.Excellent organizational skills.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent/related software. High computer literacy - experience with Word, Excel, Outlook, and Office 365.Exhibits unquestionable integrity and work ethic.Education and Experience:Required:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).One (1) or more years of office or clerical experience.Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree.One (1) or more years of experience in customer service.Knowledge of the solar/construction industry.
Pay Rate:
