Job Summary:The Cyber Security Intern will support our Data Security Analyst and security team in ensuring our adherence to security standards and certifications, including SOC2 and ISO 27001. The intern will play a key role in reviewing documentation, conducting internal assessments, and contributing to the maintenance of compliance-related tasks. This is a hybrid position in San Antonio, TX. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to gain hands-on experience in cybersecurity within a structured, compliance-focused environment.Job Description:Duties/Responsibilities:Assist the Data Security Analyst in reviewing and organizing security documentation to ensure alignment with SOC2, ISO 27001, and other relevant standards.Participate in internal audits and compliance checks, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions.Support the maintenance and updating of policies, procedures, and controls as they relate to information security.Aid in preparing and submitting necessary compliance reports, evidence collection, and responses for external audits.Track and update compliance metrics to monitor progress and identify any gaps or areas for improvement.Collaborate with other team members to strengthen security practices and support the continuous improvement of our security posture.Required Skills/Abilities:Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles, especially in the areas of compliance and risk management.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with a proactive approach to learning.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Familiarity with SOC2, ISO 27001, or other security frameworks is a plus but not required.Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality.Worker Type:
