CTG is seeking to fill a Senior Project Manager - Nuclear Projects job for our client in Richland, WA.

Duties:
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for managing large-scale, complex projects typically exceeding $10M in total cost. This role involves planning, scheduling, and controlling activities independently, while leading multidisciplinary project teams of more than ten members. The position is primarily focused on overseeing refueling outages, forced outages, and online work at a commercial nuclear facility, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
Overseeing project activities and staff during refueling outages, forced outages, and online work, ensuring safe and efficient implementation, including budget management, procurement, scheduling, and risk management.
Developing and managing project budgets and schedules, tracking cost versus budget, and ensuring the progress of assigned projects.
Managing work packages, parts procurement, industrial and nuclear safety, clearance orders, resource loading, risk management, and work execution.
Resolving schedule delays and conflicts and ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and budgetary constraints.
Mentoring and providing guidance to less experienced project managers.
Coordinating with vendors, engineering teams, and other project stakeholders.
Developing and maintaining long-range planning strategies for assigned projects.
Preparing and delivering written and oral communications to senior management and other stakeholders.
Supporting the implementation of the Columbia Generating Station Self-Assessment and Corrective Action Program.
Assisting with outage support, including Outage Control Center (OCC) activities.
Skills:
Expertise in project management, especially within the commercial nuclear industry.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage large teams and complex projects.
Proficiency in managing budgets, scheduling, and risk management.
Deep knowledge of industrial and nuclear safety standards.
Ability to develop and manage contracts and interact with vendors.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with senior management and various teams.
Experience with project management and budgeting software, including MS Office, Passport, and other relevant tools.
Advanced knowledge of project management methodologies and industry best practices.
Experience:
A minimum of 20 years of experience in a technical field with at least 10 years in project management in a commercial nuclear environment, focusing on maintenance, operations, engineering, or construction.
Experience managing complex, multidiscipline projects, particularly in nuclear plant operations, outages, and forced outage activities.
Experience in mentoring and leading project teams, particularly in high-risk, high-investment projects.
Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale projects from inception to completion, with a strong track record of meeting deadlines, budgets, and safety requirements.
Experience in managing complex budgets, schedules, and resources for projects exceeding $10M in cost.
Education:
A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or a related field from an accredited college or university.OR
An AA/AS degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or a related field from an accredited college or university with 22 years of experience in a technical field.OR
A High School Diploma or GED with 24 years of experience in a technical field.
Additional qualifications:
RO/SRO License or CGS Management Certification is required.
Project Management certification is required.
Desired Education and Experience:
Advanced degree in a related field of study or business.
Extensive work experience in the role of direct supervisor or project manager in a commercial nuclear industry environment.
Experience in nuclear plant operator production coordination or work management experience.
Certification in Construction Management.
Required Abilities and Skills:
Strong expertise in project management at commercial nuclear power plants or similar facilities.
Ability to manage outage support and activities related to refueling, forced outages, and online work.
Advanced knowledge of error reduction, human performance improvement methods, and cost-effective execution strategies.
Strong skills in managing complex schedules and budgets, ensuring critical path management and risk mitigation.
Desired Abilities and Skills:
Management experience, particularly in diverse project assignments.
Familiarity with industry codes and regulatory requirements related to nuclear plant operations, construction, maintenance, and engineering.
Skilled in using project management software, such as Passport, MS Office, and other relevant tools.
Experience participating in industry committees or external audits and assessments.
Strong knowledge of maintenance, operations, engineering, and project work processes in a nuclear setting.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $80.00 to $100.00 hourly. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
