Our work is done through projects and Garver is seeking a Transportation Project Manager to manage PS&E projects as part of our growing team in the Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas
area. They will be mentored and trained as seller-doers with opportunities to lead projects, market our services, interact with the biggest transportation clients in Texas, and perform the work.
Responsibilities of this role include:Overall Project ManagementSub-consultant coordinationManaging Project Schedules & BudgetsManaging Project AssignmentsLeading Project Design TeamLeading Plan ProductionPreparing cost estimatesLeading Meetings & Client interactionMarketing/Proposal Production and Interviews
Technical experience should include:
Geometric design of Roadways & InterchangesKnowledge of Drainage DesignConstruction sequencing / Traffic Control Plans & Constructability ReviewsUtility Conflict Resolution/Relocation Coordination
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited programLicensed as a Professional Engineer (PE)Eight (8) to fifteen (15) years of relevant experiencePractical working knowledge of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) Green Book, the Roadside Design Guide, the Highway Capacity Manual (HCM), and the Manual Uniform Traffic Control Device (MUTCD) as well as TxDOT Design manuals and processesExperience with Microstation, Open Roads Designer, Geopak or InRoads and/or other roadway design softwareStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong working knowledge of MS OfficeTxDOT Pre-CertsTxDOT Dallas and/or FTW contacts
Preferred Skills:
Previous experience in consulting engineering with a primary focus on TxDOT (or other DOT) transportation projects3D Design experienceLicensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Texas, or will have the ability to obtainreciprocity within three months of hire
