Job Description
The Lead Consultant represents insured and the Company in the defense of bodily injury and property damage lawsuits, subrogation, and Allstate Financial cases. The position prepares for and conducts hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions.
Key Responsibilities
Conducts depositions and examinations under oath and prepares summary documents.
Prepares witnesses and clients for depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and trials including expert witnesses.
Keeps claim business partners updated on status (initial client contact, initial litigation plan, recurring contacts, strategy conferences, pre-trial, etc.).
Contacts clients to discuss their case and answer any questions.
Reviews new file assignments, all documentary evidence, and approves initial pleadings, propounds discovery, and/or develops strategy.
Investigates and pursues subrogation litigation as appropriate.
Drafts post-trial motions.
Tries and/or arbitrates cases by preparing motions, motions in limine, and summary documents in limine.
Conducts settlement/dispositive proceedings (e.g., mediations, arbitrations, etc.).
Prepares and conducts court appearances (matter management conferences, hearings, status conferences, etc.).
Education
4 year Bachelor’s Degree (Required).
Juris Doctor (Required).
Experience
5 or more years of experience (Preferred).
Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis job does not have supervisory duties.
Education & Experience (in lieu)In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Compensation offered for this role is $85,600.00 - $152,650.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
