The successful candidate will be instrumental in advancing the organization's next five-year strategy, with a focus on raising new funds and expanding the network of funders. This pivotal role involves designing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy, engaging existing donors, and soliciting new funders. The Chief Philanthropy Officer will also be responsible for donor stewardship, ensuring the sustainability and growth of the organization, and optimizing fundraising systems. Organizational leadership is a key aspect of the role, including managing a philanthropy and communications team, and fostering a culture of philanthropy and excellence. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years' of senior fundraising experience, with a proven track record of securing six and seven-figure gifts. While deep content expertise in gender, reproductive, and racial equity is not mandatory, a genuine commitment to these issues is essential. The role requires a strategic and bold fundraising professional, skilled in philanthropy communications, and with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The Chief Philanthropy Officer will be expected to maintain strong relationships with both donors and grantee partners, and to be adept at engaging with high-net-worth individuals and philanthropic leaders.
