Manager, Financial Accounting
Our client, a well-established technology company headquartered in Austin, Texas, is seeking a Manager of Financial Accounting to join their remote team. This role is crucial for overseeing full-cycle accounting for both U.S. and international entities, ensuring monthly close tasks and compliance with SOX procedures. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team of accountants, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and contribute to financial reporting excellence.
Responsibilities
Manage and oversee the month-end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and reviewing team members' work.
Ensure global marketing expenses are accurately tracked and reported.
Collaborate with global teams, external service providers, and vendors to align with company goals.
Identify and implement process improvements in coordination with the Senior Manager of Financial Accounting.
Ensure SOX controls are properly documented and followed.
Mentor and support team members’ professional development.
Assist in quarterly and annual financial audits and international compliance.
Participate in special projects as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA (or equivalent) designation required.
7+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role; public accounting experience preferred, with Big 4 or public/private mix.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SOX compliance.
Proven project management skills within a fast-paced, global public company.
Experience coaching a team and reviewing work of others.
Proficiency in NetSuite.
