The Sr. Manager of Global Marketing- Lashes is responsible for growing our market share worldwide via global and localized marketing plans. They will be in charge of the global omni-marketing strategy for one of Benefit's leading categories. This person will work closely with marketing partners across Benefit's several regional hubs and cross-functional teams to bring disruptive marketing strategies & activations to life while balancing between long-term strategic thinking and short-term tactical activations. This person will have 1 direct report overseeing other core categories for Benefit Cosmetics.
What You'll Do:
Marketing & Communications:
Research & present consumer, industry, media, retail, and international marketing trends to ensure sustained category leadership
Create a global marketing calendar that combines new product launches, core product campaigns, and relevant seasons/holidays/trends
Tailor global marketing calendars to address challenges in key markets
Lead global campaigns for product launches and other various category campaigns
Develop creative briefs that distill product marketing and communication strategy
Develop content matrix to achieve media plan objectives (Instore visuals, social posts, advertising assets, website content, trade/retailer content, emails, etc…)
Define Influencer strategy (target groups, engagement strategy, channel focus, etc…) to obtain more earned coverage than our competitive set
Define a hierarchy of communications for visual merchandising instore
Define trade marketing programs to get customers and staff excited for launch activities in-store
International Management:
Establish close connections with Benefit's marketing leaders across NA, LA, Europe, Middle East, Asia, and Oceana
Coordinate regional marketing activities to maximize global category goals
Identify best practices from regions to share and/or to develop global programs
Test marketing ideas in the region to quickly learn what works and what doesn't
People Management:
Direct management and coaching of a Marketing Manager overseeing another Benefit core category with strong market positioning
Qualifications:
Bachelors' degree and 8 years experience in digital marketing, partnership marketing, and brand marketing at a brand or agency or 6 years experience in digital marketing, partnership marketing, and brand marketing at a brand or agency with a Master's degree; equivalent experience may be accepted
Knowledge of the global beauty (esp. in eye makeup) industry and landscape
Strong knowledge of social media, influencer, and media landscape
Experience with retail, instore marketing
Experience working with international teams
Experience in analysing complex issues and to develop relevant and realistic plans, programs, and recommendations
Experience managing a direct report
Schedule:
Hybrid - requires onsite presence weekly
This position is based out of our Global Headquarters corporate office in San Francisco, CA
The target salary range for this position is $120,000 - $160,000 annually. The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, years of relevant experience; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. This position is eligible to earn an annual bonus. This position is also eligible for the following benefits, including but not limited to: comprehensive health, dental and vision plans; a 401(k) plan with employer matching, various paid time off programs; employee discount/perks; life insurance; disability insurance; flexible spending accounts.
