Your role at GEI.

We are seeking a Senior Civil, Structural, Hydraulic, or Geotechnical Engineer to add technical, project management, and business development expertise to our team. This individual will support our growing Water Control and Conveyance work across the company.

Essential Responsibilities & Duties

Provide program or project level management and technical guidance for design, construction, and remediation of major water infrastructure, including water control (dams, levees, hydropower facilities, hydraulic structures) and/or conveyance (tunnels, diversion structures, drop shafts, pump stations, pipelines, canals, and penstocks).

Maintain high visibility in the marketplace through regular client contact, participation in client-based professional organizations, and attendance and presentations at industry events.

Develop business by leveraging relationships and knowledge of water control and conveyance clients, programs, and infrastructure.

Assist in recruiting, mentoring, and training staff.

Travel between offices and project/client sites. Some overnight travel may be required

Minimum Qualifications

Senior leader recognized for technical excellence and the development of client-focused, creative, and practical solutions.

Demonstrated success leading and managing substantial water control and/or water conveyance projects and accounts.

Successful Seller-Doer with existing relationships and knowledge of water control and conveyance clients, programs, and infrastructure.

Collegial team builder with excellent leadership skills.

B.S. degree in Civil, Structural or Geotechnical Engineering or related field. M.S. preferred.

15+ years progressive experience in Civil, Structural or Geotechnical engineering with extensive technical background in field of expertise and at least 10+ years in a project management role.

Professional Engineering license required.
