Technical Support Analyst

Christie Clinic's department of Information Systems is seeking a full-time Technical Support Analyst at the University Clinic from Monday- Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. This position will travel to all Christie Clinic locations, as needed, to provide technical support.
Duties include trouble-shooting user problems with computer hardware and software for all computer systems and working directly with users to define needs for computer services. Also, training new and existing employees in efficient and effective use of computer systems and applications is required. Duties may also include the maintenance and support of the Christie Clinic Telecommunications Computer Network systems including: servers, phone switch, communications equipment, and phone sets.
JOB DUTIES:

Work as a principal liaison between Information Systems and user departments to resolve helpdesk tickets and phone calls.Install and maintain PC/network hardware and software including operating systems, applications, utilities, PC's, servers, printers, and communication equipment.Set up replacement computer workstations and necessary peripheral devices according to specifications.Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of all computer applications software.Install and troubleshoot software and hardware problems and report them to the appropriate person.Identify needs for automated systems, identify possible solutions and assist in implementing solutions.Develop a thorough understanding of the computer operations function for backup purposes.Ability to respond to organize and schedule upgrade, maintenance and project demands without deterring other from completing work.Develop and maintain a thorough working knowledge of the telecommunications network.Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of all telecommunications' application software.Install and maintain telecommunications hardware and software including operating systems, applications, utilities, and phone sets.Develop/program user applications as necessary such as establishing department ACD's.Assist Information Systems staff with additional projects, as necessary.Perform related work as required.Required

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Demands include sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, stretching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.Hearing within, or correctable to, normal range, vision correctable to 20/20 and manual dexterity for the operation of office equipment is required.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed in a normal office setting and may require working irregular hours. Travel to offsite locations is required.
