Job Summary
We are seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to manage, optimize, and enhance our business intelligence platforms, primarily Tableau and Alteryx. The role involves mentoring the Tableau developer community, administering Tableau Cloud and Alteryx platforms, and ensuring robust governance, security, and data management. The ideal candidate will work closely with senior leadership and department heads to uncover insights and deliver data-driven strategies for business success.
Key Responsibilities
•Mentor Tableau Desktop developers, communicate best practices, and troubleshoot usability and performance issues.
•Administer Tableau Cloud, ensuring secure and efficient deployment, governance, and user management.
•Create and publish data sources to Tableau Cloud, monitor usage, refresh tasks, and user activity.
•Develop key metrics, conduct critical analysis, and deliver insights to guide business strategy.
•Collaborate with leadership and teams to drive organizational success through data.
•Assist with Alteryx Platform Administration, managing stability, performance, and governance.
•Manage user access, permissions, and roles across BI systems to ensure proper authentication and authorization.
•Develop SQL code for reporting, data transformation, and structure optimization.
•Design security architecture by customizing access levels and creating user groups with row, column, and application-level security.
•Maintain and monitor BI systems using tools to ensure system stability and performance.
Required Qualifications
•Proven experience mentoring Tableau Desktop developers and advocating for best practices.
•Strong expertise in Tableau Cloud administration, deployment, and governance.
•Proficiency in publishing and managing Tableau data sources and monitoring user activities.
•Experience with Alteryx platform stability, content security, and governance.
•Skilled in SQL development for reporting, data prep, and transformation.
•Knowledge of designing security architectures with customized access levels and user groups.
•Ability to maintain and monitor BI systems using maintenance and monitoring tools.
•Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
•Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work with leadership and cross-functional teams.
