Summary/Description:

QED Enterprises, Inc. is looking for an Information Systems Specialist with 2 to 5 years of experience in cloud computing, particularly in Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure to support our Sr. Business Process Analyst and our client in evaluating, assessing, and recommending cloud technologies and best practices. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in computer science, a strong understanding of cloud environments, and experience in building and deploying applications within these platforms. Additionally, knowledge of the National Science Foundation (NSF) guidelines or experience in implementing digital environments for policies and procedures will be considered a significant advantage.

Key Cloud Development Responsibilities:

Assess the needs and goals of the client and proposing suitable cloud solutionsDevelop, and deploy cloud-based applications on AWS or Microsoft AzureCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement cloud solutions that meet business requirementsOptimize cloud-based applications for performance, scalability, and cost efficiencyWorking in tandem with the Sr. Business Process Analyst, recommend appropriate cloud technologies and best practices for records and data managementTechnical Expertise:

Understand cloud architecture and infrastructure, including virtual machines, containers, serverless computing, and storage solutionsImplement cloud-native services and solutions, leveraging automation, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) toolsMonitor and manage cloud environments, ensuring availability, reliability, and security of applicationsExperience in maintaining cloud-based applications, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and efficientStrong understanding of cloud architecture and best practicesFamiliarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, version control, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environmentsAbility to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficientlyNSF Compliance & Digital Policy Implementation:

Leverage knowledge of NSF guidelines to ensure cloud solutions align with regulatory requirements and industry standardsAssist in the design and implementation of digital environments for managing organizational policies and procedures within cloud platformsCollaborate with compliance and policy teams to integrate digital policies and procedures into cloud infrastructureCoding & Development:

Write, test, and maintain code in languages such as Python, Java, C#, or JavaScript for cloud-based applicationsDebug and troubleshoot application issues, identifying and implementing solutions to improve functionality and performanceStay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and best practices, continuously enhancing your development skills

Required Education and Skills:

Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related fieldExperience with cloud infrastructure, services, and tools such as EC2, S3, Lambda, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Functions, etc.Proficiency in at least one programming language commonly used in cloud development (e.g., Python, Java, C#, JavaScript)Knowledge of NSF guidelines and compliance requirements (preferred)Strong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work independently and as part of a collaborative teamEagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologiesMust be able to pass a Public Trust background check and be granted a Public Trust clearancePreferred Qualifications:

Experience in implementing digital environments for policies and proceduresAWS Certified Developer or Azure Developer Associate certificationExperience with containerization technologies such as Docker and KubernetesFamiliarity with automation toolsQED Enterprises, Inc.
