The Registered Radiologic Technologist is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility of patients for a designated time frame and to provide care, specifically in the Heart & Vascular Institute. The patient population consists of those requiring an invasive cardiology or invasive radiology study. The Registered Radiologic Technologist will assist the physician in all procedures and provide a valuable service to the patient and the team.Job Requirements
Capacity to learn and retain information regarding patient care and procedures.Ability to communicate effectively, follow directions, and complete detailed work accurately.Demonstrates compassion and caring in dealing with others.Manual dexterity to handle small supplies.Previous Radiologic Technology experience in a procedural setting.Able to work around and maintain a sterile field during procedures.Can pull supplies for procedures.Schedule Information
Performs on call duties and/or work variable shifts as assigned to meet department needs.Takes late shift duties as assigned to meet department needs.Unit Specific Information
The Heart & Vascular Institute requires invasive cardiology or invasive radiology study experience.Experience with Interventional Neurology is preferred.Peripheral Vascular work.Venous Central Lines.Tube Changes.Embolization Work (Venous and Arterial).Venous Thrombectomy Work.Dialysis work (AV Fistulas, Tunneled Dialysis Catheters, Peritoneal Dialysis Catheters).Tube access and changes (G-tube, Chole, Neph, Biliary, Abscess, SPC).Neuro (is ideal) (Cerebral arterial/venous, Kyphoplasty).
