Almac Group is currently seeking a
Import and Export Specialist
for our Souderton, PA location. The
Import and Export Specialist
will support Almac Clinical Services Durham, NC and Souderton, PA sites with US Import compliance when the Almac receiving site is named as Importer of Record.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Perform a verification of import documents with a signed approval to assure correct and accurate information is entered, when named Importer of Record.Enforce corrective actions through communication, and documentation for import violations that bypass the import document approval process.Lend expertise while advising on the best path forward during project handoffs, when Almac is named IOR.Scrutinize Supply Details on the Global Distribution Specifications upon creation.Liaise with the exporters and Almac preferred Brokers to ensure Customs compliance.
Qualifications:
Required Experience / Education:
High School Diploma or G.E.D.1 - 2 years of Customer Service experienceLogistics and/or US Customs brokerage import processUS Customs entry processCommunication proficiencyAttention to detailExcellent organizational and time management skills
Preferred Experience / Education:
Bachelors degreeExperience with Customs import documentation and related requirementsExperience with FDA and USDA in relation to Pharma industryLogistics, distribution, export Pharma operations experience2 years Logistics/Purchasing experienceLCB certificationUS International import and/or export documentation experienceCustoms and other Govt. agency (OGA) regulations (i.e. FDA, USDA)
