Overview:We are seeking a Benefits Specialist to join our Human Resources department in our Minneapolis office. This position administers all aspects of the firm's benefits and wellness plans. You will be responsible for the accuracy, communication, differentiation, and analysis of the benefit plans, policies, and programs. This role will work closely with HRIS and Payroll on the development, integration, and maintenance of the benefit areas within the HR system to maximize technology. Key Responsibilities Include: *Manage and administer the HR system, including configuration, data integrity, and security settings for benefit plans and deductions. *Manage relationships with brokers and benefit vendor partners, reviewing benefit trends and providing updates for plan changes. *Research, analyze, and administer all benefit plans and programs to ensure they remain current, legal, and competitive. *Provide timely, accurate, courteous, and appropriate responses to benefit-related employee inquiries. Assist with manual processing of Medica out-of-network claims and the BeniComp program. *Ensure timely and accurate processing of all employee changes, including hires, eligibility changes, and terminations. *Maintain in-depth knowledge of benefits and federal & state laws, including coordinating leaves under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and managing deductions for life events. *Gather employee data reporting to oversee the accuracy of monthly billing for all benefit-related invoices. *Perform quality checks and audits of benefits-related data. *Research, analyze, and administer wellness programs, collaborating with wellness champions to promote wellbeing across all regional offices. *Oversee all actions related to annual open enrollment, including reviewing plan documents and processing benefit elections. *Run or create reports for benefits and compensation surveys. *Manage employee benefit data to support internal and external audit requests. *Review HR and benefit processes, providing suggestions for continuous improvement. *Collaborate with Finance to ensure accurate records and benefit spending. *Prepare all necessary information for the preparation of the 5500s. *Ensure accuracy and compliance of all benefit plans. *Support compensation needs. Qualifications *Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field. *7+ years of benefits analytical experience. *Experience driving operational efficiency in benefit operations, including implementing policies, practices, and systems. *Organized, detail-oriented individual with experience leading continuous improvement initiatives in benefit programs. *Working knowledge of UKG/UltiPro is preferred. *Experience in a professional services industry is preferred.
