Job Title: Supply Chain Specialist
Job Description
The Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for providing exceptional customer support to both internal and external stakeholders. This role involves executing departmental objectives and tactical plans aimed at corporate business growth. The specialist will proactively address service issues and customer concerns, ensuring timely and accurate shipment of customer orders. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with various managers and teams.
Responsibilities
Manage timely and accurate order management assigned to Region Commercial Team, communicating directly with account buyers.
Perform daily audits of open orders, including research and rescheduling of orders that are still open from the previous day.
Review orders for completeness and accuracy, acquiring necessary information and approvals prior to releasing orders for shipment.
Schedule dock appointments for CPU customers and maintain appointments within the scheduling application.
Manage delivered orders through the in-house Transportation Department.
Coordinate with Customer Experience Manager, Production Planner, Demand Planner, Warehouse Manager, and Materials Manager to ensure additional product requirements are communicated and understood.
Determine whether substitutions or date changes are required for order fulfillment based on projected shortages.
Build strong customer relationships while supporting sales personnel in identifying customer order practices inconsistent with service level agreements.
Review aged inventory and discontinued items at company-owned bottling operations and co-packer locations.
Maintain requirements in customer’s vendor sub-systems.
Review SAP T-Code for pricing discrepancies and follow written SOPs.
Communicate and partner with management and SMOs on IDOC reports to ensure EDI errors are corrected and customer files are updated.
Provide A/R with invoice management assistance to resolve short/over payments and claims.
Manage returns, damage claims, and complaints; communicate cause and resolution to affected business partners, assign action items, and obtain necessary approvals.
Ensure root cause accuracy and completeness of Supply Chain Key Performance Indicators.
Participate in team initiatives to further continuous improvement.
Essential Skills
1 or more years of supply chain-related experience
Experience in manufacturing, purchasing, or order entry
Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel is required
Strong skills in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Problem resolution skills
Ability to work independently and be self-directed
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working in business-to-business and manufacturing environments
Order management and supply chain background
Proficiency in working with spreadsheets
