Job Description:
L3Harris is currently searching for a Linux System Administrator to be part of a highly motivated team. The candidate will work closely with other organizations in a technical climate to monitor and maintain information systems.
Our intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) solutions serve a broad array of government, civil and commercial customers by enhancing information superiority, contributing to our national security, and providing actionable data for the protection of property and human life. We specialize in high-reliability airborne and space-based remote sensing payloads that offer active and motion imaging and data processing, exploitation, and dissemination. We also provide solutions that map and monitor the earth for a variety of commercial and governmental users.
An ideal candidate will have a passion for mission success, good communication skills, and strong willingness to learn. In addition, experience supporting help desks for Linux and UNIX based systems is required.
Essential Functions:
Monitor, operate, and maintain Linux based applications.
Monitor Kubernetes nodes and pods.
Monitor data flow within mission systems.
Perform mission software update deployments into Kubernetes clusters.
Perform troubleshooting and anomaly resolution.
Perform database monitoring and administration functions.
Provide on-call support, including non-standard working hours.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
Active Secret security clearance required.
6 years of experience with Linux based operating systems.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment.
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks while faced with anomalies.
Experience with Kubernetes, Postgres, SQL, and team collaboration tools.
Knowledge and application of networking fundamentals.
DoD 8570 compliant, CompTIA Security+ certification.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado is $76,500 - $142,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
