Position Announcement
Eastern Illinois University invites applicants to serve as the L.M. Hamand Dean of the Graduate School and Vice Provost for Sponsored Research. The candidate should be prepared to lead a thriving graduate faculty community across 32 graduate programs, including 25 online options, along with 10 post-baccalaureate certificate programs. This leadership position also oversees the Office of International Students and Scholars, the William V. Weber Program in Study Abroad, and the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs.
Requirements:
Doctoral or terminal degree
Hold tenure and the rank of associate or full professor
Sustained leadership experiences with graduate education as a
Department Chair or Graduate Coordinator/Director, assistant or associate dean, or equivalent administrative experiences.
Previous engagement with international students and study abroad.
Demonstrated success in promoting graduate program options that are flexible and accessible to a range of learners that result in enrollment growth and academic quality.
Familiarity and experience with university research standards, and a record of publication and/or creative activities.
Commitment to shared governance.
Commitment to inclusive excellence and diversity.
