Position Highlights:Position: Staff Nurse Pool, Med/Surg(Orthopedic)Location: Skokie HospitalFull Time/Part Time: Full Time - 36 hours/week; 3 - 12-hour shift per week with weekend rotationHours: Night shift 7:00p.m.-07:30a.m.Required Travel: Float to other units requiredWhat you will need:License: Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL requiredEducation: Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required; BSN strongly preferredCertification: BLS/CPR Certification for the Healthcare Provider requiredExperience: Minimum of one-year of direct patient care experience requiredWhat you will do:Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for a patient population on med-surg units across Skokie Hospital based on areas of greatest needUtilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of careGuide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient careCommunicate and collaborate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of carePositively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experienceNorthShore - Edward-Elmhurst Health is a fully integrated healthcare delivery system committed to providing access to quality, vibrant, community-connected care, serving an area of more than 4.2 million residents across six northeast Illinois counties.
