to support our pursuits and projects in the
West/Southwest Federal Group . This person will be assigned to our
Concord, CA or Jacksonville, FL
office.Do you consider yourself to be a highly technical, strong communicator with the desire to work in a team environment on complex projects? Gilbane is seeking a Project Manager II to serve as the on-site Gilbane manager responsible for supporting the overall direction, completion and financial outcome of a construction management project; supervises/mentors the project staff to include multiple Project Engineers and Superintendents. Provide leadership in motivating the project team and maintain a positive work environment
Manage the project using established project controls and proceduresPerform pre-construction planning, scheduling, and cost control.Buy-out of the project in alignment with the project budget.Communicate with owners, architects and subcontractors related to project risk, timetables, costs/budgets, and change management.Perform constructability and coordination reviews.Prepare and present monthly reports including cost, schedule, safety, cash ow, and others for internal and/or external use.Prepare contingency plans for potential risks, expanding contractual services and project prot.Negotiate subcontractor back charges and claims.Prepare Owner Requests for Equitable adjustment and Claims.Provide jobsite leadership in safety and quality.
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATIONBS OR MS degree in Engineering or Construction Management5-10 years of Project Management experience on projects valued at $50 million or largerOr equivalent combination of education and experiencePrior US Government/military construction project experience is preferredKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESStrong technical and communication skillsExcellent organizational skills.Excellent critical thinking skills and ability to adapt to changingAbility to work in a teamProcient in Microsoft Oce andMust be construction-document and drawing literate, with knowledge of all phases of construction.Must have experience and prociency in all divisions of work, methods, materials, scheduling, and cost control.Must have strong knowledge and appreciation of construction safety processes and ability to enforce the project safety plan. Must be able to create an environment where "safety rst" is the culture and all trades people work with an incident and injury free attitude.Must have experience supervising a project team.OSHA 30 hour certied.Must be willing to travel or relocate.Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.For Concord, CA this ranges from $128,200.00-$176,300.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
