The Opportunity:
Join CACI's Enterprise Digital Transformation and Analytics Team to apply AI and machine learning to solve predictive and operational challenges. Our team integrates with Business Development, Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, and Programs/Projects. We're seeking an experienced, curious and creative data scientist to develop solutions using advanced classical machine learning techniques, state-of-the-art language models (LLMs), and innovative data analysis approaches. You will bring your expertise, curiosity, innovation and customer centric approach to employ a variety of programming languages and tools for data engineering, pre-processing and transforming data, and features engineering.
As part of our customer centric methodology, you will work directly with senior customers to understand the business processes and how the data is used for decision activities and pose business questions to help drive data discoveries, data design, and proof of concepts. Use an agile, analytical approach to design, develop, and evaluate descriptive and predictive models and advanced algorithms on both structured and unstructured data. Generate and test hypotheses and derive patterns, trends, and correlations. Build repeatable machine learning systems to automate predictive models. Effectively consult and communicate with senior leaders of the results of the data models. In addition, you will use leverage the AWS environment for data analytics and machine learning services to include Athena, SageMaker, Kendra, OpenSearch, , etc. along with other related toolsets.

Responsibilities:
Develop and implement sophisticated classical machine learning models, including advanced regression, classification, clustering, and dimensionality reduction techniques.
Develop creative applications of Large Language Models (LLMs) to solve complex business problems and uncover new opportunities for growth and efficiency.
Work closely with senior executives to conceptualize and prototype AI-powered business models.
Design and build scalable, production-ready machine learning systems that automate predictive modeling across the enterprise.
Leverage AWS cloud services (Amazon Athena, Redshift, Glue) and other cutting-edge tools to process and analyze massive datasets.
Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover hidden patterns and opportunities within our vast data repositories.
Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable insights for senior management decision-makers.
Bring forth a well-rounded consulting approach - strong analytical, organizational and data management skills along with the ability to translate complex findings into clear, actionable insights for senior management decision-makers.
Qualifications:
Required:
U.S. Citizenship is required.
Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 3-5 years of experience applying ML/AI in a business context.
Deep expertise in classical machine learning algorithms and their mathematical foundations.
Proven experience applying advanced NLP techniques and working with large language models (e.g., LLMs)
Strong programming skills in Python, with extensive use of libraries such as scikit-learn, Pandas, NLTK, and Hugging Face Transformers.
Demonstrated ability to develop novel ML/AI solutions that directly impact business outcomes.
Experience presenting complex technical concepts to senior executives and translating them into strategic business initiatives.
Ability to work in a time critical environment and prioritize workload effectively
Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts
Ability to keep information organized and confidential
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with data visualization tools to create compelling, data-driven narratives.
