Job Summary:The Director of Corporate Accounting will oversee the corporate accounting functions of the organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards. This role will lead a team of accounting professionals and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial strategy and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate accounting, financial reporting, and team leadership, along with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Major Responsibilities/Activities :Lead and manage the corporate accounting team, including recruitment, training, performance management, and professional developmentEnsure timely and accurate preparation of financial statement reporting packages in compliance with U.S. GAAP and other regulatory requirementsOversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately, including the review of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliationsCoordinate with the Assistant Controller on external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and liaise with auditorsDevelop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance financial integrity and operational efficiencyPrepare and present financial reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for decision-makingAnalyze financial data and trends to identify areas for improvement and support strategic initiatives.Collaborate with other departments, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, to drive the company's financial objectivesStay updated on accounting developments and changes in regulations to ensure compliance and best practicesQualifications
Required:Bachelors degree in accounting with 9-12 years of progressive accounting experience, with 4-5 years in a managerial or leadership roleGovernment contracting experienceExtensive knowledge of U.S. GAAPStrong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing teamExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise mannerProficient in Costpoint and Microsoft Office SuiteCPA certificationAbility to manage priorities and adapt to change in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentSelf-starter and independently motivatedOrganized, reliable, and personableThe ability to produce timely, high-quality workExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with an exceptional attention to detail and accuracyEffective communication and team collaboration skillsPreferred Qualifications:Experience with Equity, Debt, Goodwill, Intangibles, Leases under ASC 842, Intercompany, and PayrollExperience with BlackLineExperience with companies managed by private equityEEO Statement
