Position Description:
Performs routine pre-award and/or post-award sponsored programs activities associated with management and oversight of the life cycle of awards.

Major/Essential Functions:
Review federal, state, private, industry and foundation grants for compliance with sponsor guidelines and institutional policy; provide education and support to faculty/staff during the proposal development process. Ensures compliance with sponsor guidelines, institutional policy and applicable federal and state laws. Assume AO responsibilities and submit grant applications directly to sponsors on behalf of the institution.
Assist faculty and staff with the preparation and submission of proposals
Employee must ensure all sponsored program documents and information are saved accurately and in the appropriate location.
Review and approve new fund requests and budget revisions for each new and subsequent (as applicable) budget period of an awarded sponsored project.
Serve as liaison between the Principal Investigator and the sponsoring agency as well as the liaison between campus and Sponsored Programs.
Ensure individuals and institutions are not debarred from receiving grants/contracts.
Ensure required institutional, federal and state approvals have been received and are current when processing grant proposals and grant awards (institutional approvals such as IRB, IACUC, IBS, FCOI, etc).
Assist faculty with post award nonfinancial requests such as annual and final reporting, budget revisions, no-cost extensions and award closeout throughout the duration of an award.
Review and execute incoming FDP and non-FDP subaward agreements and amendments as needed throughout the life of a project for which TTUHSC EP is a subawardee.
Complete all other duties as assigned by the directors of Sponsored Programs.
Adhere to all TTUHSCEP policies, procedures and processes.
Personally demonstrate, display, and act in accordance with TTUHSCEP’s values (Service, Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Advancement, and Teamwork). Actively promote and encourage staff across the institution.
May be considered for future remote work opportunity.

Ability to read, hear and comprehend extensive technical and regulatory information and to convey key information to others.
Strong computer skills with expertise in Microsoft Office Professional Editions (Word, Excel, Access).
