Salado Isolation Mining Contractors, managing and operating contractor of the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) is currently seeking a qualified individual to serve as aCCP Site Project Managerto join our team located in Carlsbad, NM.
The successful candidate will serve as a Site Project Manager (SPM), as detailed in the WIPP Hazardous Waste Facility Permit (HWFP), for the Central Characterization Program (CCP).
The SPM is responsible for data validation and verification to ensure Transuranic (TRU) waste destined for WIPP meets the requirements of the WIPP Waste Acceptance Criteria (WAC). Additionally, the SPM will be proficient at procedure/document generation and reviews, identification and disposition of non-conformances, scheduling, and performance tracking. The SPM will interface with regulatory agencies including but not limited to the DOE, EPA, and NMED.
Exempt Grade Levels (30-33)
Minimum Requirements:These requirements must be met to be considered for this posting. Uploaded resumes and completed applications are the means of determination.
Bachelor-s of Science degree in a relevant field with two (2) years of professional experience is required.
Experience/Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications is mandatory.
Must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in limited circumstances. See DOE Order 472.2 for additional information.
Higher education attainment than listed acceptable per internal level identifiers of accompanying years of experience.
Preferred Requirements:
Knowledge of RCRA Laws and Regulations is preferred.
Knowledge of the WIPP HWFP and/or the WIPP WAC is desired.
Preference given to applicants with previous work experience at DOE sites and/or experience with a WIPP Certified Program.

Minimum salary $80,609 per year of a larger salary range -- the specific salary offered to a candidate will be influenced by a variety of factors, particularly the candidate-s relevant experience and education.
