As the premier provider of Space Domain Awareness (SDA) mission solutions for the United States Space Force, L3Harris is looking for a candidate to develop and maintain software for SDA radar systems. L3Harris is seeking professionals to work in a dynamic environment to solve challenging technical problems. Individuals will support the Eglin radar system and perform radar system software development, design, implementation, and test. The ideal candidate should have experience with the full software development lifecycle. This is an onsite position in Colorado Springs, CO and requires a Secret Security Clearance.
Essential Functions:
Contributes to software solutions with proficient knowledge of software engineering and practical knowledge of project management.
Design, develop, and test software applications for large-scale operational systems.
Develop automated tests for deploying software through release pipeline.
Implement containerization and orchestration technologies on existing software projects.
Works under general supervision and may be responsible for entire projects or processes within team.
Communicates with contacts within and outside of own department and may occasionally have responsibility for communicating with parties external to the organization.
Up to 10% travel may be required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field with at least 4 years of software development experience or graduate degree with at least 2 years of software development experience. In lieu of degree, 8 years of software experience.
Active U.S. DoD Secret security clearance.
Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes or Openshift).
Experience developing and deploying software using a CI/CD pipeline.
Experience with Agile software development and the software development lifecycle.
Experience utilizing Atlassian tool suite (Confluence, Jira, BitBucket).
Preferred Additional Skills:
Advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Experience with DevSecOps and developing CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with SDA Radars.
Experience developing object-oriented software using Java in Spring Boot framework.
Experience with Linux or UNIX operating systems.
Excellent people skills, with experience leading and collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team environment.
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, & presentation).
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $78,000 - $145,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
