Job Description
We are seeking two highly organized, self-motivated, and customer-focused individuals that will serve in a multifaceted role working across various programs within USA Volleyball. The Coordinator, Operations & Spectator Services' primary responsibility will be to oversee the logistical and operational aspects of spectator admission during large-scale events. This role requires strong organizational and crowd management skills, as well as the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders. Outside of the events season, the Coordinator will support other areas of USA Volleyball with special projects, organizational initiatives, and general customer service. Extended hours may be required to include nights, weekends, and holidays. Travel up to 50% of the time is expected. The position is located in Colorado Springs and is not eligible for remote work.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities

Event Spectator Admission
Logistics and Venue Coordination:
Lead overall front of house logistics, including advance planning prior to the event, setting up and managing online admission sales, collaborating with security and venue staff, and overseeing the setup of essential event equipment such as informational signage and self-service purchase systems. Traffic Flow Management:
Analyze spectator traffic patterns to optimize flow, continuously adjusting as needed throughout the event. Establish queue lines for spectators, coaches, and athletes. Set up directional signage continuously monitor and adjust the flow throughout the event to ensure smooth movement and minimal congestion. Equipment and Facility Management:
Coordinate the packing, setup, and operation of spectator admission supplies and equipment. Compliance and Verification:
Verify spectator information against SafeSport banned lists, check coach passes, and ensure adherence to ADA regulations and venue policies. Contract Support:
Review contractual provisions with support staff and ensure service terms are met. Customer Service and Confidentiality:
Respond to customer inquiries via email and maintain confidentiality in all operations. Provide on-the-ground support to resolve issues as they arise. Facility Assessment:
Conduct site visits to assess new venues, perform walk-throughs to identify areas of concern, and determine signage needs for smooth spectator experiences. Work closely with the events department in designing entrance area providing information to venue decorators. Organizational Support
Staff Social Event Coordination:
Oversee the planning and execution of staff social activities, fostering a sense of community and engagement within the organization. Customer Service:
Support membership related customer support during season transition. Assist with processing refunds, coding invoices, and verifying background screenings. Ad Hoc Support:
Outside of the event season, assist various departments with special projects, such as inventory management, organizing archives, and other administrative needs. Other duties and projects as assigned. Qualifications:
5 years experience preferred in a fast paced customer service environment. Proven experience preferred identifying and implementing areas of efficiency. Ability to interact professionally with diverse groups, including spectators, athletes, coaches, and venue staff. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and database management. Experience in crowd flow management and queue optimization. Ability to assess venues for potential logistical challenges and opportunities. Ability to read and interpret venue layouts and CAD drawings is a plus. Adaptability and resilience in high-pressure situations. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional ethics. Experience in handling customer inquiries and complaints with tact and discretion. Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail. Must successfully pass a USAV background screen (prior to hire date). Must complete SafeSport training within two weeks of hire date and keep current as a condition of continued employment. Salary:
$20 - $22/hr.
