In this influential role, you will lead the effective management of the field office with a focus on program performance, budgeting, and employee relations. You will be pivotal in building strong relationships with government entities, private sector partners, and community stakeholders to further the organization's mission. Your responsibilities will also include mentoring pro bono attorneys, providing limited legal representation to clients, and ensuring the provision of high-quality legal services.Key functions of this role include:Monitoring developments in immigration lawDeveloping strategic management initiativesMaintaining strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholdersApplicants must possess a J.D. and be admitted to the state bar, along with at least 7 years of experience in immigration law, particularly focusing on humanitarian immigration claims. A background in working with children, especially those from immigrant and refugee backgrounds, and experience in supervising both legal and non-legal staff is critical. You should demonstrate cultural competence, exceptional communication skills, and a proven ability to lead a diverse team. An ideal candidate will have a nuanced understanding of the legal and social challenges facing our target population and a commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.
