Position Overview By Light is looking for an experienced Crestron Control System Programmer to join our team supporting the Department of Defense. This role is dedicated to Crestron programming, with focus on the installation, programming, and troubleshooting of complex AV systems. If you're skilled in developing, customizing, and troubleshooting Crestron systems, this could be the right fit for you.
ResponsibilitiesProgram and troubleshoot Crestron control systems for audio, video, lighting, and automation setups.Write, modify, and optimize Crestron programs using SIMPL, SIMPL+, and VT Pro to meet specific client requirements.Load Crestron programs, configure user interfaces (touch panels, keypads), and perform firmware updates to ensure system functionality.Work closely with clients and technical teams to ensure the Crestron systems meet project goals and function correctly.Diagnose and resolve system issues related to Crestron programming both remotely and on-site.Maintain detailed documentation of all programming work, including system configurations and project specifics for future maintenance.Stay up-to-date with the latest Crestron technologies and programming practices.Create and maintain project documentation, including as-built drawings and technical specifications.Ensure designs comply with industry standards and best practices, such as ADA, EIA, and AVIXA guidelines.Required Experience/Qualifications
At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Crestron programming and control system integration.Strong proficiency in SIMPL, SIMPL+, VT Pro, and Crestron Toolbox.Experience working with Crestron hardware like DM, NVX, and touch panels.Excellent troubleshooting skills with a focus on resolving Crestron system issues quickly and effectively.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate with team members as needed.Willingness to travel to client sites for installations and support when required.Preferred Experience/Qualifications
Crestron Certified Programmer (CCP) or similar certifications.Familiarity with other control systems like AMX or Extron is a plus, but not required.Special Requirements/Security Clearance
Minimum SECRET clearance; TS/SCI preferredSalary Range Salary Minimum: $90,000
Salary Maximum: $120,000
The annual base salary provided is a guideline for this position and is not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
