Overview

Colliers Engineering & Design is looking for a Project Manager to join our growing Transportation team. This is an opportunity to develop business opportunities, manage clients, and grow our exceptional Highway and Traffic Engineering capability across New York State from one of our offices in Albany, Binghamton, Syracuse, or Buffalo.This person will be instrumental in the growth, enhancement, and diversification of our existing Highway and Traffic Engineering services. They should have an established background in highway and/or traffic engineering and be willing to utilize or expand their capabilities by winning and managing transportation projects for agencies including towns, cities, counties, the NYSDOT, NYSTA, MPO's, and other agencies as well as private clients. This person can expect to leverage the skills and resources of an existing team of engineers, designers, and project managers (approximately $1M in revenue annually) as well as 75+ highway and traffic engineering professionals scattered throughout the country working on a diverse portfolio of exciting projects.Responsibilities

Leadership & Management:Leadership and oversight of Highway & Traffic Engineering project teams.Management of project budgets and schedules.Mentorship of Highway and Traffic Engineering Staff.Technical Duties:Assist engineers, designers, and others in design decision-making.Project management covering scope, schedule, technical design, and delivery.Provide Quality Control and adherence to Company Standard Procedures.Client communications and customer service.Business Development:Pursue and acquire project opportunities with clients.Prepare proposals including technical approach and pricing.Client management including negotiation and relationship building.Participate in outside organizations, events, conferencesMarket and cross sell other company services.Qualifications

10 Years' minimum experience.Effective written and communication skills.Professional Engineering License in New York State or the ability to obtain this license upon employment (with the ability to apply for comity in other states).NYSDOT / LDSA (or similar), and municipal project experience from Preliminary Engineering through Construction.Experience with the NYSDOT and LDSA Project Delivery Process (or similar).Experience with projects involving the SEQRA and/or NEPA processes.Experience with community outreach.Experience with budget, scope, schedule, project delivery and quality.Knowledge of the NYSDOT Highway Design Manual or similar agency design standards.Ability to work and manage people in a hybrid work environment.MicroStation, InRoads and OpenRoads experience is a plus.Prior experience preparing proposals, developing budgets, tracking budgets and the associated financial management skills necessary to run a team and monitor the performance of the project is a plus.Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.

Compensation: $102,000 to $132,000 per year (depending on qualifications)What We Offer
