About the Position:

The Director manages day to day operations of the Center and establishes and sustains a positive learning

environment for children. The Director oversees the coordination of education programs that comply with local and federal regulations. Manages and supports staff, ensures that the Center is maintained, manages the center's finances. The Director will have experience in managing all aspects of a daycare center, as well as strong leadership skills. What You Will Do:

· Early childhood development experience is a plus

• Ensure a safe, happy, and learning environment.

• Ensure that center facilities are safe for children and comply with state regulations

• Manage and support teaching staff and promote their professional development.

• Evaluate and purchase materials, equipment, and supplies

• Complete ongoing training and courses to remain up to date on daycare standards and procedures, communicate and meet

with parent's regarding their children and the center's policies.

• Ensure that the center remains profitable

Interview, hire and train new staff members, ensuring they meet all policies.

Required:

• Must be 21 years old or older PLUS one of the following:

• High school diploma or GED with 60 hours ECE* (Early Childhood Training) & an additional 12 hours of training in program

administration, planning, development or management and 24 months experience.

• Associates or bachelor’s degree in ECE*/closely related field and 6-months experience.

• Total of 24-hour credits with 6 credits in ECE*Ans 18 months experience

• NAC/CDA/CCP/CPC And 18 months experience.

• High school diploma or GED with 6 college credits in ECE &24 months experience.

• Early childhood development experience is a plus

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in ECE*/closely related field and 3 months experience

Certifications or Licenses:

• Fingerprint Clearance Card

• CPR/First Aid Certification

• TB Test and or results

Skills/Abilities:

• Licensure is required

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills

• Friendly and approachable demeanor

• Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and work ethic at all times.

Certifications or Licenses:

· Required: Valid Driver License
