With over $1.5 billion in annual sales and a commitment to its workforce, Kokosing is the winning team.Job Description:We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist whose primary responsibilities include:Recruiting, interviewing/vetting and hiring qualified candidates across a wide range of roles and skill sets, primarily in the Technical and Operations-related arenas:
Field/Project Engineers, Estimators, Superintendents/Team Leads, Administrative and Support personnel, Supply, Safety, Project Managers, etc.
Serving as the first point of contact to potential future team members of the companyAssisting the internal hiring managers by providing information on trends/best practices, pre-screening resumes with details, and providing a detailed operations overview to the candidate.
We have a high volume of reqs but we do not take a high-volume approach to applicants - i.e. quantity over quality. We are a Support Services resource and make sure we provide detailed and transparent information to both internal managers and applicants/candidates.
** This role is onsiteand is based out of our Westerville (NE Columbus) Corporate office.
Duties and Responsibilities:Utilizing Workday to support recruitment and applicant/job description database creation and maintenancePost job openings on job boards, websites, and other online sourcesUtilize social media platforms to find and engage potential candidatesConsult with managers and executives in developing job descriptions, posting the descriptions, utilizing strategies that will ideally increase applicant activity (i.e. sourcing, regularly refreshing the reqs, unemployment sites, explore niche job boards and assess for ROI, etc.)Keeping the manager(s) updated as to search and applicant statuses - suggest new tactics, if neededServe as the point of contact for applicants (and internal managers) for the entire recruiting process and beyondScreening applications/resumes and conducting interviews/operations overviewsRelaying submittal notes internally to hiring managers to facilitate an informed decision/assessment for determining the next step including scheduling interviewsContinual maintenance of the ongoing Req StatusWorking with the HR Department and gathering market data to assist the manager in determining salary and perk parameters for offers - focusing on internal equity and fair market value/trendsExtending offers as needed and collaborating with the hiring manager in the event of counteroffersOther duties as assigned, special projects/research, etc.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Ability to work and excel in a high-energy and fast-paced team environmentHave a desire to constantly interact with various personalities, and maintaining solid working relationships with all team membersDependable and ResponsibleWorkday experience preferredAbility to multi-task is requiredAbility to be comfortable with, and maintaining, a high degree of confidentialityExcellent organization skills and the ability to prioritizeExperience in candidate sourcing solutions and strategiesKnowledge of relevant employment legislation
Education and Experience:Possess a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent combination of technical training and experienceTargeting 7+ years of professional services-related Recruiting experienceKnowledge of staffing systems and toolsEfficient in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
Relationships:Reports to the Talent Acquisition Manager and closely interacts with various managers.
