Job Summary:
Our new Advanced Practice Provider Critical Care Float Team is recruiting for multiple APPs.
The APPs on this team will serve in a full-time Critical Care position floating primarily between the Medical ICU and Trauma/Acute Care Surgery.
Key responsibilities include:
+ Assessment and management of several critically ill patients.
+ Ordering appropriate labs, tests, exams and procedures for diagnostic purposes.
+ Understanding and interpretation of labs and test results.
+ Daily rounds on critically ill patients with multidisciplinary team including attending physicians, residents, and nursing staff.
+ Complete appropriate daily progress notes as well as new patient admissions and consultations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's Degree as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
NYS licensed/registered NP or PA required.
Current National Certification consistent to the clinical practice also required.
Have a NPI number and be Medicare enrolled with a Medicare Identification Number (or PTAN) (or eligible for Medicare Enrollment within 6 months of hire.
CPR-BLS and ACLS Certification required at the time of appointment.
Critical care experience including ventilator management and medication management.
Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Must successfully pass pre-employment and credentialing clearances.
Preferred Qualifications:
Critical Care experience as an Advanced Practice Provider.
Work Days:
Days, Nights, Rotating Weekends and Holidays.
