Job Summary
The Accounting Manager will perform general accounting functions including but not limited to reporting, forecasting, budget preparation, purchasing, credit and collections, and sales analysis. Evaluate information and generate various sales, inventory, and customer order reports; analyze business trends, and provide the results of this analysis to internal customers. Use advanced data visualization tools such as Tableau to provide an enhanced, easy to understand interface for our users. Gain an understanding of how our existing internal database works; provide occasional updates to tables, security, and perform occasional troubleshooting.
Job Responsibilities
Ensure the accurate and timely processing of accounting transactions Expense controls, account analysis/reconciliation Direct the maintenance of general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts payable, revenue distribution, cost, property, and operating expenses Rebate and Royalty Revenue Analysis Analysis of financial statement results, including the generation of clear and meaningful analytical data for managers Work with departments for the preparation of budgets and forecasts, including the preparation of necessary supporting documentation and justification Prepare statements and reports of estimated future costs and revenues Accurate and timely dissemination of financial reports to internal and external users
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting or closely related field 5 years experience with a progressive track record in accounting disciplines and other accounting responsibilities Public Accounting experience (CPA certification) a plus Experience in a manufacturing environment is helpful Comprehensive understanding of accounting concepts and principles Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse management team
