Senior Scheduler

with the ability to interact with a variety of staff at all levels in an ever-changing

data center

environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive, and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.The Senior Scheduling Engineer will provide oversight of all planning and scheduling activities.Responsibilities:Provide oversight of all planning and scheduling activitiesPlan, coordinate, supervise, and direct planning and scheduling activitiesEnsure that corporate planning and schedule stands are implemented and that all project related activities comply

Provide oversight and supervision of scheduling teamCoach, mentor, and train field personnel, forepersons, and assistant superintendentsEstablish and nurture teamwork environmentEnsure crews have resources and supportProvide work direction and performance evaluationsIdentify hiring needs and participate in hiring, discipline, and dismissal decisions if neededDevelop leadership potential through appropriate task assignments and career growth opportunitiesImplement Mortenson's Zero Injury Safety Program at project siteManage open shop and union issues

Required Skills:Minimum of six (6) years construction experience; or equivalent combination of training and experienceThorough knowledge of scheduling concepts, principles, practices, and company softwareThorough knowledge of standard construction practices and project sequencingShown ability to exercise creativity and mature judgment in anticipating and solving unprecedented problems on complex projectsStrong plan and specification reading, review and interpretation skillsBasic knowledge of project management, contracts, and buyoutWorking knowledge of 4D visual planning methodologiesStrong organization and team skillsBasic knowledge of cost and resource loaded schedulesBasic knowledge of claims avoidance and resolution techniquesAbility to work in a cross-functional, collaborative, team-based environmentExcellent analytical and critical thinking skills with initiative to seek innovative solutionsResults-oriented to ensure delivery of appropriate products and services in an accurate, complete, and timely fashionExcellent oral and written communication skillsActive listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedbackAbility to travel may be required based on operating groupCurrent driver's license

Education:Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent field
