Were hiring a Loan Participations Officer to join our Loan Operations Team in Souderton, PA. Please note, once trained this poisiton will be hybrid.

Responsibilities

Serve as lead point of contact for participating bank relationships. Act as liaison between participating bank representatives, internal commercial banking teams, and borrowers to facilitate a seamless onboarding.

Manage loan participation portfolio as originating and participating bank. Responsible for workflows and accountable for adhering to deadlines. Resolve any inquiries and disputes using industry standard practices.

Analyze current processes for areas of improvement, making fact and research-based recommendations for best practices.

Responsible for compiling statistic and evaluation reports to be distributed to the Director of Bank Operations, performing strategic evaluations of data and providing insights to ensure efficiency and inform the need for change.

Responsible for creating and maintaining comprehensive procedures to reinforce bank policies, operational processes, and regulatory requirements.

Provide education and support to other Loan Operations teams to foster teamwork and provide growth opportunities. Lead new team member onboarding, using expertise to develop a knowledgeable and proficient team.

Accountable for ensuring accurate final loan packages are boarded, funded, and filed in accordance with audit and bank policy, as well as any applicable regulatory requirements.

Account for all payments, fees, and interest due and ensure all entries reconcile. Ensure all accounts are in balance and agreement with participating banks. Provide detailed, documented accounting of any differences identified and track resolution.

Responsible for accurate processing of all participation, syndication, and related loan transactions and settlements. Service all facilities, including but not limited to payments, fees, modifications, and renewals.

Perform all maintenance, calculations, and adjustments in a timely fashion.

Responsible for completing daily and monthly reconciliations, reviewing exception reports to ensure records are accurate and up to date.

Lead special projects as assigned, acting as a change agent for the initiatives and providing constructive insight.

Responsible for compliance ith laws and regulations that apply to the position, including the Univest Code of Conduct.

Perform additional duties as required.

Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Flexibility to work additional hours if needed during peak volume times.

Qualifications

3-5 years finance, loan operations, or commercial lending experience, or equivalent required related education.

Detailed understanding of loan and banking products and services.

Advanced understanding of financial accounting concepts.

Experience reading complexing loan contracts, with the ability to comprehend each document, discern inconsistencies and errors, and provide resolution.

Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Familiarity with Microsoft Suite, Jack Henry, Salesforce, nCino or equivalent banking systems.
