Clinical Applications Manager San Francisco Bay Area, CA; Seattle, WA Area Your Tasks: Responsible for securing the clinical cellular therapy market for Miltenyi Biotec products, through the communication of product and therapy-related concepts to clinical customers within defined territory. Responsibilities include managing sales within academic transplant centers and biopharmaceutical accounts and growing the business within this sector. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Identify, profile and prioritize institutions and investigators involved in relevant clinical research activities. Execute sales activities within the assigned territory in accordance with corporate strategies and budget expectations. Meet and/or exceed company sales forecasts in assigned territory. Establish and maintain relationships with key investigators. Identify and communicate key clinical and research issues from industry leaders to appropriate departments. Identify and support investigator-initiated study concepts which support the strategic direction of the organization's products while meeting established financial goals for the region. Provide investigators with support for study development, accrual, completion, and publication. Maintain appropriate communication with Medical, Regulatory and Legal personnel to ensure appropriate timelines and procedures are adhered to. Monitor study to ensure adherence to the project protocol and study objectives. Develop strategic account planning. Participate in the development and implementation of internal timelines and implementation strategies to accomplish goals and objectives. Utilize appropriate resources when needed (research sales, science, marketing, customer care, quality, etc) to help close a sale or solve a customer problem. Maintain clinical expertise through education, relevant symposia, scientific workshops, and review of key journals. Train with German colleagues as needed for skills enhancement. Provide training, technical support, and hotline support to cell processing technicians. Able to travel more than 50%. Requirements: M.S. or B.S. degree in a Life Sciences or Medical Technology discipline and four to eight years related medical sales experience and/or customer training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Familiar with a variety of sales concepts, practices, and procedures. Must possess a valid driver's license, evidence of insurance/ insurability, and ability to receive appropriate clearance to access restricted accounts.
